Before the city wakes, artist Claudine O’Sullivan runs. Her morning ritual is both meditation and research: gathering light, rhythm, and inspiration that will later appear on paper and canvas. This film traces the connection between two forms of movement - the motion of running blurring into brushstrokes.
“I’m relatively new to running, but what began as a fitness challenge has become a foundational part of my creative process. I run to clear my head, to connect with my body and with nature. I run every day, through every season - each run feels different, even when the route is the same. This daily ritual has transformed my creative practice, moving me toward more abstract mark making while still holding onto my vivid colours and my interest in capturing motion. I feel very much in a period of artistic change, and for now I’m trusting the process of translating my movement into visuals and seeing where it leads.” - Claudine
